The travelling trunk was a beautiful, full-sized trunk with wooden lid stays; found with leather, fustian,or simply sealed wood exteriors. Brass or tinned iron metal strapping & metal edges were ornamental as well as functional.

Made of solid wood, can be covered in fustian (shown), leather, or beautifully wood stained. We can install a keyed hasp lock or a hand-forged padlock hasp closure. These pieces have a divided lift out tray (done in bass wood with or without a cedar bottom - your choice), and we can panel a storage compartment in its lid(optional). They have brass or tinned iron edged, leather straps, and hand forged bail handles or you may prefer brass bail handles (additional chrg). The interior can be fabric lined or left plain. You have several options to choose from to make this "your trunk"!
