From the original pieces we have examined, this trunk was almost always made from hair-on rawhide or rawhide leather covering. It was a utilitarian piece with multiple uses. We offer a hand-finished rawhide that is specially prepared for our trunks, it is a rich smoked colored rawhide; set off by our own hand-forged handles and keyed lock. Also available in hair-on rawhide or veg tanned leather. The interior is fully lined.
