Carriage Trunks > Pictures ![]() Individualized to the owner's carriage, these Trunks can be found in museums and galleries in a wide variety of sizes and styles dating from the mid-1700's to late 1800's. In the 1850's one particular style of carriage Trunk was associated with the Swedish opera singer Jenny Lind. ![]() We offer these beautiful trunks, with their fluid curved sides and slightly rounded lids, in four sizes! Our pieces are of hand-dyed, vegetable tanned leather. A pine tray (that sits in the base of the trunk) with or without cedar bottoms and a lid panel can be also added for a small additional charge. If your preference is an even more elegant presentation, we also offer brass rosette handles from the William & Mary, Chippendale, or Heppelwhite styles. This is our smallest carriage trunk! Reproduced to scale from the original. This trunk comes with keyed hasp lock & milk painted/or oiled lift out tray (at no additional charge).
The Lord & Lady design also available in the carriage trunks. They are elegantly lined with our rich brocade fabric or your fabric, trimmed with complimenting satin braid, and richly ornamented with petite brass nails, brass hinges and handles. Gorgeous!
